Project 2(b): Group Street Intervention
Project Brief:
We need to conduct a site investigation based on the street given to us. Then we need to come up with a street intervention based on the S.W.O.T analysis from our street. Later on we need to present all the ideas into A1 presentation board (Min 4 board).
Pictures,videos or interview can be used as a medium to capture the tangible and intangible elements in our street
Based on the brief, a few requirements are needed in our presentation board:
-INTRODUCTION (History/ Key plan/location plan of our site, sun path)
- Accessibility to site, landmarks or focal point or significance components/elements
- Site zoning (100-200 m radius)
- Tangible and Intangible Elements
- S.W.O.T Analysis
- Proposal for street intervention
- 2D Pop up Model

Progress:
- At first we choose completely manual work to do this project, but we realise that we don't have enough time to do it so choose half digital half manual in the end.
- A lot of drawings were manually drawn for example, plan view, elevation view, perspective view etc.
Final Outcome:
- We finished everything at 5:00 a.m. in the morning during presentation day, then we went printing at Shah Alam. By the time everything was completed, it was already 6:30 a.m.
- It was a tired session indeed, but in the end we did it.
Reflection:
From this assignment, I have learned even better on how to observed and find out the little things at our surroundings. When conducting investigation on the street, we need to observe how the traffic works, how does the pattern of the buildings look like. A lot of details must be considered or else we will miss a lot of things.
Besides that, I have learned on how to draw perspective view as well. A lot of software is required to investigate and learn as well like adobe photoshop due to we pick the way half digital and half manual to complete this project. A lot of brainstorming session happened also because we need to come up with the idea on how to proposed our street intervention.
In conclusion, this project truly challenged all of us on how to do things as a team as well as how to solve the problems we are facing too. It wasn't an easy task for us, but we did it as a team and we did it with all our heart.
